This event and exhibition is an art show focused on light and color within the Queer community that has always existed. People have tried to suppress and even erase Imperial Valley's queerness; but those efforts have unsurprisingly failed. After all, you cannot hide a flower's perfume. Our queerness is unwavering, even in the face of hostility coming from within! 

This event is not a celebration of visibility. It is a demonstration of it. We hope to show our community that we were always this colorful. The color was always there, the light just had to change.

Este evento y exposición es una muestra artística centrada en la luz y el color dentro de la comunidad Queer, una comunidad que siempre ha existido. Ha habido quienes han intentado reprimir e incluso borrar la identidad Queer del Valle Imperial; pero, como era de esperar, tales esfuerzos han fracasado. Al fin y al cabo, no se puede ocultar el perfume de una flor. ¡Nuestra identidad queer permanece inquebrantable, incluso frente a la hostilidad proveniente de nuestro propio entorno!

• Artists of all backgrounds and experience levels are encouraged to apply.
